Welcome to Challenge Air for Kids & Friends

I spent the day last Saturday flying – giving kids with disabilities a chance to experience the fun of flying in a small plane. I have been involved with Challenge Air for several years. Based in Texas, Challenge Air was founded by a Vietnam fighter pilot who lost the use of his legs after an aborted landing attempt on an aircraft carrier. He loved flying so much that he figured out how to continue to fly after his accident, and he began to share the experience with children who spend much of their lives being told what they can’t do.

Just wanted to give you and all the generous people who donated their time, talent, and "stuff" a big THANK YOU! My granddaughter Destiny White was a participant and I brought her brother Noah Romero, and my husband to your great event. We had a ball and the kids were thrilled with everything, especially, of course, the flight. Destiny was starting to feel a little sick during the last 5 minutes of the flight, but she held it in and was fine after we landed! We couldn't believe how generous people were and seemed genuinely happy to be participating.

I wanted to thank you and Challenge Air for the experience of a life time that you have given my son, Josh. We took our first flight with Challenge Air in McKinney, TX last May and it was awesome! The whole day was wonderful but our pilot especially, was a great guy who really connected with Josh and gave him the royal treatment.
